One-on-one FREE Consultations with Experienced Genealogists

On Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, members of the Muscogee Genealogical Society will offer free consultations to anyone
wanting to begin tracing his/her ancestral roots. Consultations will also be available for intermediate genealogists who
have hit a “brick wall” in their research. The consultations will be held in the Columbus Public Library’s Genealogy Room
from 10:30 to 5:45. Each will be an hour and 15 minutes in length.

Beginners’ consultation sessions will include an explanation of how the pedigree chart works, using Ancestry.com and
using the resources of the Genealogy Room. Sessions for intermediate researchers will be tailored to the research
problem at hand.

Registration is required for all consultations. A registration form appears below. Each registrant must also bring a filled-
out pedigree chart to the consultation (filled out to the best of one’s ability). Pedigree chart forms are available in PDF
format from Ancestry.com at http://c.mfcreative.com/pdf/trees/charts/anchart.pdf .

This consultation service is being sponsored by the Muscogee Genealogical Society in collaboration with the Columbus
Public Library’s Genealogy Room.
