Beginning Genealogy:

 This class will cover the basics of how to begin your research, what resources are available and what basic forms and programs you will use in your family history project.  Class will be held in the Wade Room 2nd floor Genealogy Department.  Class taught by Kathy Turton Genealogy Librarian.  Class size limited to the first 8 people. Genealogy II:

This class takes a look at other resources needed to complete your family history.  Some of the areas covered will be the census, soundex, regional resources, military records, and other resources that will aid in the organization of your research.  Class will be held in the Wade Room 2nd floor Genealogy Department.  Class taught by Kathy Turton Genealogy Librarian.  Class size limited to the first 8 people.  Ancestry Library Edition: 

This in-depth class will demonstrate how to successfully navigate the online database Ancestry.com Library Edition.  Patrons will learn the key factors in formulating search strategies.  Computer Lab first floor of the Columbus Public Library.  Class taught by Kathy Turton Genealogy Librarian.  Class size limited to the first 10 people. HeritageQuest: 

This in-depth class will demonstrate how to successfully incorporate the online database HeritageQuest into your family history research.  HeritageQuest offers remote access; an intuitive interface; fast downloads; and crisp images.  Computer Lab first floor of the Columbus Public Library.  Class is taught by genealogist Dalton Royer.  Class size limited to first 10 people.
