To celebrate its forty year history, the Muscogee Genealogical Society hosted an anniversary celebration, “Diggin’ Our Roots,” in the Columbus Public Library’s auditorium on Sunday, November 6, at 2:00 p.m. The program included a brief history of the Society and the recognition of community members — including local historians and genealogists, local history authors, history museum directors, patriotic society presidents and others – who have contributed to the Society’s success in fulfilling its mission.

The event was a great success.
